Some of the products sold by 1800ceiling.com are included in the California Proposition 65 warning.   What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.

Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin.  The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment is establishing this website to provide the public with information on chemicalsproducts and locations often associated with Proposition 65 warnings.  These warnings inform Californians about their exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harmVisiting this website regularly will help you learn about these chemicals and how you can reduce your exposure to them.  We will be adding new information frequently.

Great product for our important cause

We started a candle company that employs individuals with special needs. They make all of the products themselves. We modified just about every task so that one of the special team can get it done. This time we needed some type of device that could keep our wicks centered over our jars while the candles cure after being poured. We normally use popsicle sticks but they can move if the table is accidentally shaken. So we found acrylic discs from 1800ceiling and they have different diameters that we can use for each sized jar we have. So we bought some for testing our three wick jars and they work great. Now the wicks are always in the middle which makes for a candle that burns well. We're super excited now and we just ordered 100 more discs for our candle making. Thanks to 1800ceiling we finally found a solution. Thank you 1800ceiling for your help and support. You folks are great!
