Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.

Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin.  The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment is establishing this website to provide the public with information on chemicalsproducts and locations often associated with Proposition 65 warnings.  These warnings inform Californians about their exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harmVisiting this website regularly will help you learn about these chemicals and how you can reduce your exposure to them.  We will be adding new information frequently.

Worked well…. Recommended

Hydraulic cement failed around a basement waste pipe egress. Had to cut the unit down to 9” in length and reassemble one of the ends (probably should’ve emailed company and asked if they’d make one smaller), which took a while … because the wall has a 1/2” inset where the leak is. Anyway, works great . Extended hose a bit to reach my sump. Buys me time until I get around to replacing the cement. Totally happy with it.

Perfect and only practical solution for basement wall leak

We have an early 90s house which, unwisely, brought main power and other services into the basement below ground level. Over time those conduits began letting in water (several electricians and an inspector told me it's common and not dangerous). In very wet weather these basement wall penetrations weep water. The wall diverter collects the water and empties into a sump with a sump pump. I had 2 plumbers and 2 contractors look at the problem but none could propose a better solution than the wall diverter, because it collects water that would otherwise dribble down the wall.
