Phase 2: Cleaning Ceiling and Priming Stains
Before resurfacing the discolored ceiling tiles and grid system with SAV-A-CEILING, it is important to remove dirt and soot from the ceiling surface.
Black soot buildup can be removed using a shop vacuum with a brush attachment.
Or for light dust, you may also use a dusting brush attached to an extension pole.
You may also clean the hard surfaces by hand with a degreaser such as HVAC vents and spreaker plates.
A ceiling cleaning solution should also be considered for greasy ceilings or ceiling that have been exposed to cigarette smoke.
SAV-A-CEILING Crystal Ceiling Cleaner works well to remove nicotine from ceilings.
Water stained tiles should be treated approx. 30 minutes before resurfacing.
ReCeil It Spray-Up Stain Blocker work wells to treat these stains.
We also have the Long Shot Pole to help you reach stains on high ceilings.
Just insert the stain blocker can into the top of the Long Shot pole.
And press the trigger located on the handle. You can reach a 14′ high ceiling without standing on a ladder.
